REACH

The Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals - gives greater responsibility to the European chemicals industry to manage the risk from chemicals and to provide safety information on these substances. As chemical manufacturers, suppliers and customers accross Europe and beyond will be affected by REACH, understanding this new regulation is critical. Zeochem will implement this new regulations dilingently and in a timely manner.

Zeochem appointed an Only representative according the REACH Regulation and pre-registered its two product lines:

1. zeolites (EINECS 215-238-8; CAS 1318-02-1)

2. synthetic amorphous silicas; silica gel
(EINECS 231-545-4; CAS 7631-86-9)

The pre-registration will allow Zeochem to serve customers after December 1, 2008 in the usual way. The registration of the two above mentionned product lines is under preparation and will be effected in due corse and within the time schedule as published by REACH.

Zeochem AG receives an European Award for its efforts to reduce CO2.

Already in 1992 the Chemie-Workplace Uetikon convenent to support the European RESPONSIBLE CARE PROGRAM. This duty includes to use ressources with care, to build up a high saftey standard and to take measure to protect the environment.

During all the years, Zeochem AG has put an extreme effort into energy safing to reduce the output of CO2 and during the last winter, the results were presented in a competition for the "European Responsible Car Award 2009".

Zeochem AG received an Award on the publication "Long Term Project To Reduce CO2" and the Jury wrote:" This pretentious project is very well executed and documented in the public press".
